As a consequence of this unexpected mandatory isolation I can only think now of how existence has been disrupted and how fragile all we humans are.
 
I am sure that within a few days we have all learned to value life, health and the ecosystem that we have surrounding us, whether it is big or small depending on our own point of view.
 
We discovered that the planet’s ecosystem does not need us and if we do not know how to live in it, it will take charge, change, and educate us.
 
We discovered that the fundamental values of life are the simplest, respect, solidarity, compassion, and harmony.
 
Having been locked up, we have proved that we do not need most things, things that distract us from a fundamental desire to protect our own, the simplicity of happiness, and the spectacular nature of everyday sunrises and sunsets.
 
Health rather than money is the essential. Non essentials are media appearances and social media posts.
 
We are all equal now, as are politicians, powerful businessmen, religious leaders, and celebrities in the face of human vulnerability.
 
Technology should bring us closer together, to understand, share, and help us communicate.
 
It is necessary for us to return to a healthy culture, one that respects, defends, and protects local ecosystems. We need to de-escalate voracious consumption in order for us to deglobalize.
 
These are the first days of an entirely new way of life.
 
People have been condemned to reinvent themselves and rethink their ways of relating to each other and to the ecosystem. This challenge has forced us to respect ourselves as a species.
